The Upper St. Clair Boys and Girls Wrestling teams are in full swing of their 2023-2024 season. The boys currently hold a 9-6 overall record with three of those wins coming at the North Hills Duals held on December 9th and the other six coming at the Upper St. Clair Duals on December 16th. The Panthers are highlighted by Michael Albert, who competes in the 285 lb weight class. Albert's record stands at 20-1 on the season and most recently took home a third place finish at the Burgettstown Invitational. The girls team is also seeing success in their first year as a program. The Panthers have a 2-1 record with wins over Fort Cherry and Brashear and finished in fifth place at the Southmoreland Girls Tournament held on January 6th. Freshman Evis Ackerman is leading the way for the Panthers as she holds a 6-4 record and is ranked 5th in the WPIAL in the 100 lb weight class. Both teams will be in action tonight as the girls will travel to Pine Richland, while the boys will host Baldwin.
