The Upper St. Clair Cross Country team opened up their season on Saturday as they competed in the 51st Marty Uher Vulcans Invitational. Both the Girls and Boys teams finished 3rd overall. Meredith Rhodes won the race with a time of 19:42. In addition, Lydia Rhodes medaled with her 5th place finish and McKenzy Mack, Olivia Grey, and Ella Unice contributed to the score for the ladies. Caleb Gurino led the boys to their third-place trophy with his 13th-place finish, followed by medal winners Andrew Hess (15th) and Ryan Arya (19th).
