USC Rifle Competes in WPIAL Championships; Svitek Qualifies for States
CoEd Varsity RifleThe Upper St. Clair Rifle team traveled to the Dormont - Mt. Lebanon Sportsmen's Club on Tuesday and Thursday for the WPIAL Team and Individual Rifle Championships. The Panthers, who finished the regular season in second place in Section 3, took 10th place in the WPIAL Team Championships. The championship team consisted of Seniors Hayate Svitek (Captain), Harrison Barker, Luke An, Juniors Christian Levkulich (Captain), Colin Donnelly, Lawson Fawley, Sophomore Sam An, and Freshmen Mason Reik, Colten Tencer, and Lyman Thomson. In the Individuals portion, Svitek, Barker, Levkulich, Donnelly, and Fawley all competed and congratulations to Hayate Svitek who took 5th place overall with a score of 200-16x-6c and has earned a trip to the state tournament. Congratulations to the team on a great season and good luck to Hayate in the state championships.

USC Swimming and Diving Sweeps Canon-McMillan; Wells sets School Record
CoEd Varsity Swimming & DivingThe Upper St. Clair Swimming and Diving team hosted Canon-McMillan Wednesday night and came away with their third straight boy-girl sweep as the Boys team defeated the Big Macs 91-80 and the Girls team won 99-86. Carter Wells led the charge in the diving portion as he once again broke the boys pool and school record and Livia Tranquilli also took home first place on the girls side. USC Hockey Wins Third Straight
Boys Varsity Ice HockeyNevin Siniawski, Jackson Rose, and Conner Ruffner each netted a goal to lead the Upper St. Clair Hockey team to a 3-1 victory over Franklin Regional on Monday night. The Panthers, who trailed 1-0 after the first period, put the offensive pressure on Franklin Regional in the second period as they registered 19 shots on goal and scored all 3 of their goals in that period. The win marks the teams third straight victory and they will round out their regular season on Thursday, February 19th when they travel to Mount Lebanon.

USC Girls Basketball Falls to Penn Trafford
Girls Varsity BasketballThe Upper St. Clair Girls Basketball team traveled to Penn Trafford on Monday evening for their last regular season game of the season. Kat Polstyanko scored a game-high 24 points, but the Panthers ended up falling to the Warriors 62-50. The loss brings the teams overall record to 11-11 on the season and they will now turn their attention to the WPIAL Playoffs. The Panthers have earned the #3 seed in Class 6A and will start their quest for back-to-back WPIAL Championships on Friday, February 20th when they host North Allegheny.

USC Boys Basketball Rolls in Regular Season Finale
Boys Varsity BasketballJake Foster poured in 25 points, including five 3-pointers, as the Upper St. Clair Boys Basketball team defeated Trinity 77-43 on Monday night. Three other Panthers hit the double-figure scoring mark as Ryan Robbins scored 15 points and Andrew Gaither and Luke Marchinsky each added 11. The team finishes the regular season with a 21-1 overall record and now will turn their attention to the WPIAL Playoffs. The Panthers have earned the #1 overall seed in Class 6A and will host the winner of Norwin and Fox Chapel on Thursday, February 19th.

USC Boys Basketball Grabs Share of Section Title with Victory over Mount Lebanon
Boys Varsity BasketballThe Upper St. Clair Boys Basketball team traveled to Mount Lebanon Friday night looking for a regular season sweep of the Blue Devils and for their final section game of the season. In a back and forth game, the Panthers came away with a 46-43 victory. Jake Foster led the way pouring in 18 points and Luke Marchinsky added 12 of his own in the victory. The win now brings the Panthers record to 20-1 (13-1) and has earned them a share of the Class 6A Section 2 title with Central Catholic. The Panthers will wrap up their regular season on Monday when they host Trinity in a non-section game.

Following a 10 point loss on Tuesday to Hempfield, the Panthers rebounded by taking down Plum 777-43x - 746-28x. The win clinches second place in the section and brings the teams overall record to 6-8 (5-5). The team will head to the WPIAL Championships on Tuesday, with the top five shooters then advancing to the WPIAL Individual Championships on Thursday.

In a defensive battle, the Panthers came away with a 41-36 victory. Ryan Prunzik led the way scoring 12 points and the team also received scoring contributions from Claire Birmingham and Kat Polstyanko who scored 7 and 6 points, respectively. The win now brings the Panthers record to 11-10 (6-4) and they will wrap up their regular season on Monday when they travel to Penn Trafford for a non-section game.

USC Boys Basketball Offense Erupts in Win on Senior Night
Boys Varsity BasketballThe Upper St. Clair Boys Basketball team hosted Hempfield Tuesday night for their last home section game of the season. The Panthers put on an offensive clinic, defeating the Spartans 92-46. Five players scored in double-figures in the 46-point victory as Ryan Robbins led the way with 20 points. Jake Foster and Luke Marchinsky, who were honored before the game for being the two members of the 2026 class, followed Robbins with 17 and 16 points, respectively. Jude Ausi added 11 points off the bench and Finn Beggy chipped in 10 as well. The Panthers now move to 19-1 (12-1) and will cap off their section schedule on Friday when they travel to Mount Lebanon.

Boys Varsity Ice HockeyRyan Szpara scored two second period goals on Monday night to lead the Upper St. Clair Hockey team to a 4-1 win over Fox Chapel. Jordan Lucca netted a power play goal with the Panthers trailing in the first period to tie the game at one and Jackson Rose added a goal in the third period to put the game away. The win marks the Panthers second straight victory and they will look to keep their streak going next Monday when they travel to Franklin Regional.

Captains Hayate Svitek (100-9x) and Christian Levkulich (100-8x) led the way along with freshman Mason Reik who posted his first 100 (100-5x). Also contributing to score were Harrison Barker, Colin Donnelly, Lawson Fawley, Brandon Donnelly, and Colten Tencer. The team will return to section play on Tuesday when they travel to take on Hempfield.

Ryan Robbins led the bunch with a game-high 22 points and Luke Marchinsky, Jude Ausi, and Finn Beggy each added 10 points. The win now brings the team's record to 18-1 (11-1) and they will look to finish section play strong as it wraps up next week. USC Athletic Registration Fee Information
The Athletic Registration Fee Portal for 2025-26 is now open. Please go to the Registration tab on uscsdathletics.com to enter information. Any student at USC High School who is participating in athletics will need to submit the 2025-26 Athletic Registration Fee using the form on the Registration tab. The athletic fee is $75 per athlete, per sport, per season. For example, if an athlete plays a sport in the fall and/or winter, they still owe $75 for playing a spring sport. The fee must be paid prior to the first contest.

The Upper St. Clair Boys Basketball team will be hosting their annual Tip-Off Tournament this Friday and Saturday. The Panthers are scheduled to play Kiski Area High School on Friday at 7:00 pm and will play either Bethel Park or Seton LaSalle on Saturday at 2:30 pm. Please note that all tickets for the Tip-Off Tournament will be $5.00 - CASH ONLY. No Credit Cards, Panther Passes, or Gold Cards will be accepted.
