USC Football Defeats Woodland Hills; Returns to WPIAL Semifinals
Boys Varsity FootballThe Upper St. Clair Football team traveled to the Wolvarena Friday night to take on Woodland Hills in the WPIAL Quarterfinals. The Panthers fell behind by two touchdowns early on but rallied to take control of the game and came home with a 36-26 victory. Upper St. Clair used a strong ground game led by John Banbury and Dante Coury to wear out the Wolverine defense as the game went on. Banbury scored three rushing touchdowns and Coury added one to account for the four Panther touchdowns on the night. Jacobo Echeverria added two field goals, and the Panther defense came up with a safety to round out the scoring. The win returns the Panthers to the WPIAL Semifinals where they will face a familiar foe in Peters Township. The game will be played at a site to be determined on Friday, November 14th at 7:00 pm.

Nolan Sarkett Medals at PIAA Championships

Sarkett finished in 19th place with a time of 16:30 to wrap up a stellar season and career as a Panther. USC Football Rolls into WPIAL Quarterfinals
Boys Varsity FootballThe Upper St. Clair Football team hosted Plum Friday night in the First Round of the WPIAL Playoffs. Plum got the scoring going early, but the Panthers responded with 46 straight points to cruise to a 46-8 win over the Mustangs. Upper St. Clair used a strong ground game en route to victory as Dante Coury punched in two ground scores, John Banbury added one, and Max Ligier scored one as well. Ethan Hellman threw for two more touchdowns, one to Banbury and the other to Randy Yan and Jacobo Echeverria added a 30 yard field goal to round out the scoring for the Panthers. With the win, Upper St. Clair moves to the WPIAL Quarterfinals where they will meet #3 seed Woodland Hills. The game will be played on Friday, November 7th at the Wolvarena and is scheduled for 7:00 pm kickoff.

USC Girls Volleyball Falls in WPIAL Quarterfinals
Girls Varsity VolleyballThe Upper St. Clair Girls Volleyball team hosted North Catholic today at Upper St. Clair High School in the WPIAL Quarterfinals. After dropping the first two sets, (25-20 and 26-24) Upper St. Clair rallied to take the third (25-22), but a back-and-forth fourth set saw the Panthers fall just short (25-22) as they were defeated 3-1. Hayden Culp and Ellie Simons filled the stat sheet for Upper St. Clair as Culp had 20 kills and Simons registered 14. Congratulations to the team on a fantastic season that saw them finish with a 14-4 record, as co-section champions, and as WPIAL Quarterfinalists.

USC Football Defeats Baldwin
Boys Varsity FootballThe Upper St. Clair Football team traveled to Baldwin Friday night for their last regular season game of the season. The Panthers bounced back from last week's loss to Moon by defeating the Highlanders 56-8. Ethan Hellman threw 5 touchdown passes and ran for another to lead the team. Nico D'Orazio was on the receiving end of two of the passing touchdowns, and Drew Sanderson, Randy Yan, and James Gardner caught one each. John Banbury returned a punt for a touchdown and Andrew Gaither had a pick six to account for the remainder of the Panthers scoring. Upper St. Clair will now turn their focus to the WPIAL Playoffs where earned the #6 seed and will host #11 seeded Plum on Friday.

USC Girls Soccer Falls in WPIAL Quarterfinals
Girls Varsity SoccerThe Upper St. Clair Girls Soccer team traveled to take on #2 seeded Seneca Valley Thursday night in the WPIAL Quarterfinals. A defensive battle ensued as the teams were tied 0-0 after regulation and through the first 15 minute overtime period the score remained deadlocked at 0. Shortly into the second overtime the Raiders were able to find the back of the net and defeat the Panthers 1-0. Goalkeeper Camryn Friday was stout in net and the Panther defense played a strong game in the defeat. Congratulations to the team on an outstanding season that sees their final record come in at 10-6-2.

USC Cross Country Competes in WPIAL Championships; Nolan Sarkett Qualifies for States
CoEd Varsity Cross CountryThe Upper St. Clair Cross Country team competed at the WPIAL Championships Thursday afternoon at White Oak Park. The boys team took home an 8th place finish in the AAA division as they were led by Nolan Sarkett's 4th place finish. Following Sarkett were Caden Sarkett, John Unice, Sam Cranganu, and Carter Kashak. On the girls side, McKenzey Mack was the top finisher for the Panthers and coming in next were Kylie Baran, Ella Unice, Teddi Irvin, and Cammie Hull. Congratulations to Nolan Sarkett, who with his finish in today's race, qualifies for the state championship next week at Hershey. The Panthers put on a dominant performance, sweeping the Foxes 3-0. Hayden Culp led the way as she registered 10 kills and Ellie Simons followed with 7 of her own. USC Girls Soccer Advances to WPIAL Quarterfinals
Girls Varsity SoccerThe Upper St. Clair Girls Soccer team hosted Penn Trafford tonight in the first round of the WPIAL Playoffs. The Panthers, who defeated the Warriors earlier in the regular season, found themselves trailing at the half as Penn Trafford scored an early goal to take a 1-0 lead. Midway through the second half, Chloe Bird was able to find the back of the net to tie the game at one and with 10 minutes remaining in the game Audrey Bodamer scored the game winner to give the Panthers a 2-1 win. Mary Mascaro was responsible for assists on both goals to help Upper St. Clair to victory. The Panthers now move on to the WPIAL Quarterfinals where they will take on #2 seeded Seneca Valley. The game will be played at Seneca Valley High School on Thursday with the time still to be determined.

USC Football Falls to Moon in Double OT
Boys Varsity FootballThe Upper St. Clair Football team traveled to Moon Friday night for a conference matchup with the Tigers. The teams were in a defensive battle as the score was tied 0-0 at halftime. Moon was able to strike first in the third quarter taking a 7-0 lead, but the Panthers answered with John Banbury punching in a two yard rushing score. With the game tied 7-7, Jacobo Echeverria gave Upper St. Clair the lead with five minutes left in the game as he connected on a 38 yard field goal. Moon would then tie the game with their own field goal late in the fourth quarter to force overtime. In the first overtime the teams traded field goals, Echeverria hit from 41 yards and the Tigers connected from 28. Moon would then score a touchdown on their possession in double overtime and made a defensive stand to stop Upper St. Clair from scoring to win the game 20-13. The Panthers now fall to 7-2 (2-2) on the season and will be on the road next Friday to take on Baldwin.

Ziegler secures spot for Girls Golf Individual PIAA State Championship
Girls Varsity GolfOn October 1, Junior Olivia Ziegler posted a 79 at Sewickley Hts Country Club to advance to the Girls Individual State Championship, held at Penn State October 20 and 21. After a score of 88 at Seven Oaks Country Club in round 1, Ziegler had to battle on day 2, from 6 strokes back to capture just 1 of 7 spots advancing to states. With a par on 18, Ziegler forced a sudden death playoff with North Allegheny’s Senior Kayli Dings for the final spot. Dings birdied the second playoff hole to win, leaving Olivia Ziegler in 8th place. After all districts’ scores were in, with Ziegler’s scores of 88 and 79, along with course difficulty ratings, district 7 was awarded an addition spot resulting in Ziegler qualifying for the state championship. Best of luck to Olivia as she competes in Penn State next week!

USC Girls Volleyball Sweeps Mount Lebanon
Girls Varsity VolleyballThe Upper St. Clair Girls Volleyball team hosted Mount Lebanon last night for their last regular season game of the year. The Panthers continued their strong play, sweeping the Blue Devils 3-0. The win brings the Panthers record to 13-3 (9-1) and earned them a share of the section title. Upper St. Clair will now turn their attention to the WPIAL Playoffs where they will find out their opponent when the brackets are released on Friday.

USC Cross Country Competes at TSTCA Invite
CoEd Varsity Cross CountryThe Upper St. Clair Cross Country team competed at the TSTCA Invitational at White Oak Park on Thursday afternoon. Nolan Sarkett was the top finisher on the boys side, placing third overall and winning a medal, leading the team to a sixth place finish. Also earning a medal in 18th place was John Unice. Rounding out the scoresheet for the boys were Caden Sarkett, Carter Kashak, and Sam Cranganu. On the girls side, McKenzey Mack led the Panthers to a 16th place finish as a team. Next in on the score sheet were Kylie Baran, Cammie Hull, Hope Waldron, and Pritika Gupta. The Panthers will be back in action next Thursday when they will return to White Oak Park for the WPIAL championship race. USC Athletic Registration Fee Information
The Athletic Registration Fee Portal for 2025-26 is now open. Please go to the Registration tab on uscsdathletics.com to enter information. Any student at USC High School who is participating in athletics will need to submit the 2025-26 Athletic Registration Fee using the form on the Registration tab. The athletic fee is $75 per athlete, per sport, per season. For example, if an athlete plays a sport in the fall and/or winter, they still owe $75 for playing a spring sport. The fee must be paid prior to the first contest.

The Upper St. Clair Boys Basketball team will be hosting their annual Tip-Off Tournament this Friday and Saturday. The Panthers are scheduled to play Kiski Area High School on Friday at 7:00 pm and will play either Bethel Park or Seton LaSalle on Saturday at 2:30 pm. Please note that all tickets for the Tip-Off Tournament will be $5.00 - CASH ONLY. No Credit Cards, Panther Passes, or Gold Cards will be accepted.
