USC Boys Basketball Falls in PIAA Semifinals
Boys Varsity BasketballThe Upper St. Clair Boys Basketball team traveled to Chambersburg High School today to take on Roman Catholic High School in the PIAA Semifinals. The Panthers hung tough with the Cahillites throughout the game but ultimately fell 59-46. Tyler Robbins led the Panthers with 18 points and Niko Gidas added 11 of his own. The loss concludes one of the most successful seasons in school history for Upper St. Clair. The Panthers finish the season with an overall record of 26-3, along with being crowned Section Champions and WPIAL Champions, as well as reaching the PIAA Semifinals for the second time in school history. Congratulations to all members of the team on a fantastic season.

Terlecki's Big Game Sends USC Girls Basketball to PIAA Championship
Girls Varsity BasketballThe Upper St. Clair Girls Basketball team traveled to James Buchanan High School today to take on Garnet Valley in the PIAA Semifinals. The Panthers, who have been starting strong during their playoff run, fell behind by 7 points in the first quarter to find themselves in unfamiliar territory. As the first half progressed, Upper St. Clair battled back and the teams went to the locker rooms at halftime tied at 23. The third quarter was back-and-forth with neither team hanging to a lead before the Panthers outscored the Jaguars by 4 in the final eight minutes to take home a 53-49 win. Olivia Terlecki connected on 5 three pointers as she finished with a team high 19 points and Rylee Kalocay chipped in 13 of her own in the victory. With the win, the Panthers will take on Perkiomen Valley in the PIAA Championship. The two teams met previously this season on December 14th as the Vikings came away with a 63-57 win. The Panthers will look for their revenge with PIAA Gold on the line on Friday

USC Baseball Completes Season Sweep of Mount Lebanon
Boys Varsity BaseballThe Upper St. Clair Baseball team hosted Mount Lebanon today for their second matchup with the Blue Devils this week. The Panthers jumped out to a 4-0 lead after 5 complete innings, but the Blue Devils answered with 5 runs of their own in the top of the 6th to take the lead. Upper St. Clair then responded with 3 straight singles, followed by 3 Mount Lebanon errors, and then a triple by Cooper Stutzman to score 6 runs in the bottom of the 6th to give them the 10-5 win. Eli Mandler went 3-3 at the plate with a double to power the Panther offense, while Richard Gardner earned the win on the mound going 4 innings in relief and striking out 6. Upper St. Clair now moves to 4-0 on the season and will now turn their focus to section play as they will open it up by hosting Bethel Park on Monday.

Demas Walks it Off as USC Softball Wins in Extra Innings
Girls Varsity SoftballAlexa Demas went 2-5 with 2 RBI's including a walk-off double in the 9th inning as the Upper St. Clair Softball team defeated Western Beaver last night, 6-5. Sydney Fisher and Kenzie Pope also had multi-hit games, along with Brooklyn Kemp who went 3-5 with a triple. Kemp also pitched all 9 innings, scattering 8 hits and striking out 10. The Panthers now move to 3-0 on the season and will be back in action on Wednesday when they will host New Castle.

USC Boys Lacrosse Wins Home Opener
Boys Varsity LacrosseThe Upper St. Clair Boys Lacrosse team hosted Peters Township tonight for the team's first home game of the season. The Panthers were able to take home a 12-9 win as Ryan Buonomo led the way with five goals. Nathan Haberman added 3 goals of his own and Charlie Bywalski chipped in 2 in the victory. The Panthers will return to action on Tuesday when they host Canon-McMillan.

Boys Varsity VolleyballThe Upper St. Clair Boys Volleyball team hosted Thomas Jefferson tonight in a non-section match. The match was back-and-forth the whole way, but the Panthers came through in the fifth set for a 3-2 win. The win brings the Panthers record to 1-2 on the year and they will be back in action on April 1st when they will travel to Baldwin. Girls Varsity LacrosseThe Upper St. Clair Girls Lacrosse team traveled to South Fayette yesterday for a non-section game against the Lions. The Panthers put together their best offensive performance of the season as they took home a 15-12 win. The win brings Upper St. Clair's record to 2-1 on the season and they will be back on the field Monday when they will host Penn Trafford.

Wilson's Dominant Pitching Performance Leads USC Baseball Past Mount Lebanon
Boys Varsity BaseballNolan Wilson struck out 9 hitters over 6 innings today as he led the Upper St. Clair Baseball team to a 7-0 win over Mount Lebanon. Wilson only allowed two hits in his outing before giving way to Brayden Wells to close the game out in the 7th. Offensively, the Panthers scattered 11 hits total with Eli Rankin leading the charge going 4-4 with a double and 2 RBI's. Carter Stein also had a multi-hit game, going 2-4, and Eli Mandler doubled in the win. Upper St. Clair will be back on the diamond Friday when they will host Mount Lebanon at Boyce-Mayview Park.

USC Boys Tennis Sweeps Bethel Park
Boys Varsity TennisThe Upper St. Clair Boys Tennis team traveled to Bethel Park today and came home with a 5-0 sweep of the Blackhawks. The Panthers did not drop a single set throughout the entirety of the match as Ari Plutko, Shawn Khurana, and Myles Owens all won their singles matches and the doubles teams of Saajin Laffin/Sidney Weissert and Anderson Ploeger/Michael Barrie picked up wins as well. The Panthers now move to 3-1 on the season and will be back in action tomorrow when they will host North Allegheny.

USC Boys Volleyball Suffers Non-Section Defeat
Boys Varsity VolleyballThe Upper St. Clair Boys Volleyball team traveled to Seton Lasalle last night for a non-section match up with the Rebels. Similar to the season opener, the Panthers played a hard five sets, but ultimately ended up falling 3-2. Upper St. Clair got out to a 1-0 lead as they won the first set 25-23, the Rebels then took the next two sets 31-29 and 25-21. Upper St. Clair then rallied, winning the fourth set 25-23 and had a lead in the fifth set, but Seton Lasalle was able to battle back and take the decider 17-15. The Panthers now fall to 0-2 on the season and will be back on the court Thursday when they will host Thomas Jefferson.

USC Boys Tennis Falls to Mount Lebanon
Boys Varsity TennisThe Upper St. Clair Boys Tennis team hosted Mount Lebanon yesterday and fell by a narrow score of 3-2. Shawn Khurana picked up the Panthers lone singles win, defeating his opponent in straight sets 6-1, 7-5. On the doubles side, Anderson Ploeger and Michael Barrie also picked up a win in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4. The Panthers now fall to 2-1 on the season and will have a quick turnaround as they are back in action today when they will travel to Bethel Park.

USC Girls Lacrosse Gets OT Win
Girls Varsity LacrosseThe Upper St. Clair Girls Lacrosse team hosted Chartiers Valley last night in the teams first home game of the 2025 season. The Panthers and Colts played a low scoring, defensive battle that saw the two teams tied at 6 at the end of regulation. In overtime the Panthers were able to grab the first goal, giving them the 7-6 win. Upper St. Clair now moves to 1-1 on the season and will be back in action on Wednesday when they will travel to South Fayette.

Girls Varsity SoftballThe Upper St. Clair Softball team continued its spring trip yesterday as they took on Lenoir City High School (TN). Brooklyn Kemp threw a complete game, allowing only four hits, while also striking out four in the 9-5 Panther win. Caroline Bernard and Sydney Fisher led Upper St. Clair on the offensive side, both having three hits each and combining for three RBI's.

USC Boys Basketball Wins OT Thriller to Advance to PIAA Semifinals
Boys Varsity BasketballThe Upper St. Clair Boys Basketball team traveled to Slippery Rock University today to take on McDowell High School in the PIAA Quarterfinals. A very physical game saw the Trojans jump out to a 15-6 lead after the first quarter. The Panthers responded, tying the game at 21 as the teams headed to the locker rooms at halftime. The second half was a back-and-forth affair, and 32 minutes were not enough as the teams were tied 47-47 at the end of regulation. In overtime, each team scored 2 points and McDowell had possession with 35 seconds remaining. The Trojans then went for a layup with 10 seconds left, Kaamil Jackson blocked the shot and the ensuing fast break saw Gianni DiSora find Tyler Robbins for a two-handed dunk to win the game for the Panthers, 51-49. Robbins finished the game with 14 points and Niko Gidas drained 6 three-pointers, as he led all scorers with 22 points. The Panthers now advance to the PIAA Semifinals where they will take on District 12's Roman Catholic High School.

USC Baseball Grabs Second Shutout Win
Boys Varsity BaseballThe Upper St. Clair Baseball team continued their Florida trip today as they took on Wissahickon High School. The Panthers came away with another mercy rule win as they took home a 15-0 victory. Brayden Wells threw a complete game on the mound, allowing only one hit and striking out four. Offensively, Nolan Wilson and Nico D'Orazio each recorded two hits and Finn Baird had 3 RBI's.

Girls Varsity BasketballThe Upper St. Clair Girls Basketball team traveled to McConnellsburg High School tonight to take on District 1's Haverford High School. The Panthers stretch of strong postseason play continued as they came home with a wire-to-wire, 51-35, victory to advance to the PIAA Semifinals. Meredith Huzjak led Upper St. Clair with 17 points and Rylee Kalocay followed with 14 of her own. The Panthers will be back in action on Friday when they will take on another District 1 school in Garnet Valley. The time and place of the game is still to be determined.

USC Baseball Throws Combined No-Hitter
Boys Varsity BaseballThe Upper St. Clair Baseball team opened its season today in Florida as they took on Bradford High School. Nolan Wilson, Sam Cuba, and Nathan Wyke combined for a no-hitter on the mound, striking out six Tigers on the day. Wilson and Evan Smirniw also doubled at the plate in the victory.

Brooklyn Kemp struck out seven hitters in 5 ⅔ innings, while also going 2-4 at the plate to lead the Panthers to a 10-6 win. Nora Stutzman also recorded a multi-hit game, going 2-4 and Lainie Guarino closed the game out on the pitcher's circle sealing the win for the Panthers.

The Upper St. Clair Boys Basketball team will be hosting their annual Tip-Off Tournament this Friday and Saturday. The Panthers are scheduled to play Kiski Area High School on Friday at 7:00 pm and will play either Bethel Park or Seton LaSalle on Saturday at 2:30 pm. USC Rowing Competes at Head of the Ohio Race
The Upper Saint Clair Rowing Association crew had a fantastic experience and outcome at the recently concluded 2024 Head of the Ohio Race, also popularly referred to as HOTO, on Sunday, Oct 6th, 2024. HOTO is a premier rowing regatta held annually on the Allegheny River in Pittsburgh. It attracts competitive rowers from across the country, ranging from high school teams to elite rowing clubs and universities. This year the USC Rowing crew teamed up with Pittsburgh Rowing Club (PRC) rowers and won several races, including several top finishes, as the crew navigated the challenging 2.6-mile course through the heart of the city with stunning backdrop of Pittsburgh’s iconic bridges and skyline.
