USC Boys Basketball Wins Thriller Against Central Catholic
Boys Varsity BasketballThe Upper St. Clair Boys Basketball team hosted Pittsburgh Central Catholic Friday night in a matchup of the top two teams in Class 6A Section 2. The Panthers and Vikings played similar to their December 12th matchup, one which saw Central Catholic take home a two-point overtime victory, but this time the Panthers came out on top, 48-47. Jake Foster led the Panthers, pouring in a game high 20 points and Luke Marchinsky followed with 9 points of his own. The win brings the team's record to 14-1 (7-1) and pulls them into a first place tie in the section. The Panthers will look to continue their strong play on Tuesday when they travel to Canon-McMillan.

USC Ice Hockey Falls to North Allegheny
Boys Varsity Ice HockeyThe Upper St. Clair Ice Hockey team hosted North Allegheny Thursday evening at Ice Castle Arena. The Panthers were unable to find their rhythm, falling to the Tigers 7-1. Cooper Stutzman scored the lone goal for the Panthers, finding the back of the net off an assist by Justin Schuster in the 2nd period. Upper St. Clair will look to bounce back on Thursday when they travel to Pine Richland.

USC Girls Basketball Beats Pine-Richland for Fourth Straight Win
Girls Varsity BasketballRyan Prunzik scored 16 points and Claire Birmingham added 15 of her own as the Upper St. Clair Girls Basketball team defeated Pine-Richland 59-44 Thursday night. The Panthers also got scoring contributions from Kenzie Pope, who chipped in 12 points with three 3-pointers. The win brings the team's winning streak to four games and pushes their overall record to 7-7 on the season. They will look to continue their hot streak on Monday when they welcome Shaler to town in a non-section game.

CoEd Varsity RifleThe Upper St. Clair Rifle team hosted Indiana High School today in a section matchup. The Panthers were able to grab their second straight win, defeating Indiana 785-49x - 784-44x in a close match as Senior Hayate Svitek led the scoring with 100-8x. Adding to the score were Senior Harrison Barker, Juniors Christian Levkulich, Colin Donnelly, Lawson Fawley, Sophomore Sam An, and Freshmen Lyman Thomson and Mason Reik. The win brings the Panthers record to 3-5 on the season and they will be back in action Tuesday when they travel to Penn Trafford.

USC Boys Wrestling Takes Home 5 Pins in Victory over Mount Lebanon
Boys Varsity WrestlingSpencer Hills (114), Aiden Greenwald (145), Derek Worstell (152), Luca Coury (189), and Will Stohl (285) each picked up wins via pin as the Upper St. Clair Boys Wrestling team defeated Mount Lebanon, 43-25, Wednesday night. Mateo Amorosa (139) and Augie Schmidt (160) also picked up victories in the match as the team's record now moves to 7-4. The Panthers will look to build off their win this weekend when they travel to the Allegheny County Championships held at Fox Chapel High School.

Girls Varsity WrestlingThe Upper St. Clair Girls Wrestling team hosted Mount Lebanon on Wednesday for their first home dual match of the year. Grace Nasman (148) and Noa Chambers (190) each pinned their opponents and the team received four forfeit victories from the Blue Devils to win 37-36 on criteria. The win brings the Panthers record to 2-1 on the season and they will return to the mat on Tuesday to host Latrobe.

Boys Varsity BasketballThe Upper St. Clair Boys Basketball team hosted rival Mount Lebanon on Tuesday night in a section matchup. In a back-and-forth, defensive battle, the Panthers came out on top 43-36. Luke Marchinsky and Ryan Robbins each hit the double-figure scoring mark as Marchinsky led the way with 11 and Robbins added 10. The win brings the Panther winning streak to 9 games and pushes their record to 13-1 (6-1). They will return to the court on Friday where they will look to avenge their only loss of the season when they host Central Catholic. Tip off is scheduled for 7:30 pm.

USC Indoor Track and Field Competes in First Meet of Season
CoEd Varsity Indoor TrackThe Upper St. Clair Track and Field team competed Saturday at Edinboro University in their opening meet of the season. The following athletes scored for the Panthers at the meet: Sadie Tomczyk - 1st in the 200 meter dash, 2nd in the 400 meters, and 4th in the 60 meter dash Jameson Tisdale - 8th in the 200 meter dash and 7th in the 60 meter dash Nolan Sarkett - 1st in the 3000 meters Carter Kashak - 1st in the 800 meters Melice Rubino - 5th in the 400 meters Sydney Tomczyk - 6th in the 400 meters Caden Sarkett - 7th in the 3000 meters Bryce Jones - 7th in the 60 meter dash McKenzey Mack - 7th in the 800 meters The Panthers will return to action next Saturday as they travel back to Edinboro. CoEd Varsity Swimming & DivingThe Upper St. Clair Swimming and Diving team traveled to Seneca Valley Wednesday night to take on the Raiders. The girls team fell by a score of 110-70, but the boys team came home with a 95-84 victory. The boys were led by Carter Wells as he set a school record in the diving portion of the meet with a total score of 311.8. Delaney Burnette and Livia Tranquilli also had good nights in the diving portion, finishing in 2nd and 3rd place, respectively. The Athletic Registration Fee Portal for 2025-26 is now open. Please go to the Registration tab on uscsdathletics.com to enter information. Any student at USC High School who is participating in athletics will need to submit the 2025-26 Athletic Registration Fee using the form on the Registration tab. The athletic fee is $75 per athlete, per sport, per season. For example, if an athlete plays a sport in the fall and/or winter, they still owe $75 for playing a spring sport. The fee must be paid prior to the first contest.

The Upper St. Clair Boys Basketball team will be hosting their annual Tip-Off Tournament this Friday and Saturday. The Panthers are scheduled to play Kiski Area High School on Friday at 7:00 pm and will play either Bethel Park or Seton LaSalle on Saturday at 2:30 pm. Please note that all tickets for the Tip-Off Tournament will be $5.00 - CASH ONLY. No Credit Cards, Panther Passes, or Gold Cards will be accepted.
