USC Rowing Competes at Head of the Ohio Regatta

The Upper Saint Clair High School Rowing team had an amazing day at the 36th annual Head of the Ohio (HOTO) regatta in early October.  HOTO is one of the largest regattas in the country.  Head of the Ohio draws crews from across the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic, and southern Canada and features racing, outdoor activities, and entertainment.  It highlights all aspects of recreation along Pittsburgh’s iconic riverfront. 

 

UCSHS had 28 athletes in 9 racing shells who competed in Varsity, JV and Novice events. 

 

USC Took Home Gold!

Wolfram Schmidt representing the Men's Youth Novice 1X boat took home 1st place!  Wolfram had the fastest time out of all the high school competitors for the entire regatta!
