The Upper St. Clair Boys Basketball team traveled to Norwin last night for a WPIAL Class 6A Section 2 matchup with the Knights. The Knights were able to take a five point lead into the locker room at halftime, but the Panthers outscored Norwin 36-25 in the second half and took home a 62-56 victory. A balanced scoring attack propelled Upper St. Clair as four Panthers hit the double figure scoring mark. Matt Gaither led the team with 17 points, Nick Sukernek chipped in 11 and both Julian Dahlem and Christian Wieczenski netted 10. The Panthers now move to 7-5 (2-0) on the year and will be back in action on Tuesday when they will visit Mount Lebanon with the winner having sole possession of first place in the section. Tip off is scheduled for 7:30 PM.
