The Upper St. Clair Boys Tennis team hosted Shady Side Academy today as the team kicked off their 2025 season. The Panthers came away with a 4-1 win to start their season on a high note. Ari Plutko and Shawn Khurana each won their singles matches in straight sets as Plutko won 6-1, 6-0 and Khurana won 6-0, 6-0. Saajin Laffin and Sidney Weissert won their doubles match 7-6 (7-5), 6-3 and Anderson Ploeger and Michael Barrie also won in straight sets, 6-1, 6-2. The Panthers will be back in action on Thursday when they will travel to Franklin Regional.
