The Upper St. Clair Football team hosted Moon last night for the teams last home game of the 2023 season. In a thrilling back-and-forth game the Panthers outlasted the Tigers in double overtime and took home a 43-42 win. In the second overtime with the Panthers trailing 42-35, Ethan Hellman connected with Charlie Bywalski for a 13 yard touchdown pass to bring the score to 42-41 Tigers. The Panthers then elected to go for the two-point conversion and Hellman again connected for a score, this time to his brother, Van Hellman, for the 43-42 win. Julian Dahlem and Mason Chambers each scored two rushing touchdowns for the Panthers and John Banbury pulled in an 11 yard touchdown catch earlier in the game to account for the Upper St. Clair scoring for the night. With the Panthers playoff hopes still slightly alive, they will look to finish the regular season on a strong note as they travel to South Fayette next Friday. Kick off is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
