USC Girls Volleyball Competes at Canon-McMillan Tournament

The Upper St. Clair Girls Volleyball team traveled to the Canon-McMillan Tournament today. USC started pool play this morning dropping their first match against returning 2A State Champs, Beaver. Scores of the sets were 19-25 and 21-25. USC then went on to sweep both South Fayette (25-20, 25-22) and North Hills (25-19, 25-22). The Panthers placed second in their pool behind Beaver, and they moved on to the Gold playoffs. USC won the quarterfinal set against Chartiers Valley (25-19), but lost to section foe, Canon Mac, in the semifinal 25-19. USC’s only losses of the day came against the teams who played in the final match which ended with Beaver as the tournament champs. USC competes in their first home match of the season this Thursday, August 29, against South Fayette.
