USC Rifle Falls in Regular Season Finale Against McGuffey

The Panthers wrapped up the regular season with a loss to McGuffey on Thursday afternoon. USC was shorthanded between illness, injury, and college visits but still put up a great effort to keep the match close. Sophomore Ben Waldron led the way with a 100-5x for his second match 100 of the year. From the JV side, sophomore Colin Braughler posted his best match score ever with a 99-5x and will surely be a regular on the varsity side next season. 5 Panthers will complete in the WPIAL Individual Championship next Thursday and a 4-member team will represent USC at the PA State 3 Position HS Championship on 2/19. WPIAL Schools don’t participate in 3 position during the regular season, but at least 1/2 dozen of our team members also shoot in a 3 position league from October to March and this will be the 3rd consecutive year USC sends a team to compete.
