USC Rifle Has Strong Showing at PA 3 Position Championships

Upper St Clair Rifle had a great showing at the PA Interscholastic 3 Position Championship this past weekend placing 14th overall as a team. Their cumulative score of 1856-25x was a 181 point improvement over last year’s effort. In prone position (the only position teams shoot in WPIAL competition) the Panthers had the 7th best team score, only 24 points behind position leader and overall champion Everett HS. The USC Rifle Team currently has about 40% of the team participating in 3 Position competition through a local league which gives them enough practice in this discipline to become more competitive on a state level.
