USC Boys Soccer Clinches Playoff Berth with Victory over Norwin

Panthers Win: 3 - 2
The Upper St. Clair Boys Soccer team hosted Norwin tonight at Panther Stadium knowing a victory over the Knights would clinch them a WPIAL Playoff Berth. The Panthers started out hot as Ryan Higgs opened up the scoring with a first half goal to give the Panthers a 1-0 lead. Norwin would answer later in the first half and the teams entered halftime tied at one. Tyler Reimer and Liam Park both netted goals early in the second half to give the Panthers a two goal cushion. Upper St. Clair would hold onto that lead after Norwin scored a late goal, and defeat the Knights 3-2 to earn themselves a spot in the WPIAL Playoffs. The Panthers will play one final regular season game, a non-section match at South Fayette, on Monday. Game time is scheduled for 7:30 PM.

Peters Township controlled the game throughout and defeated the Panthers 4-0. The loss takes the Upper St. Clair record to 8-5-2 (7-5-2) on the season and the team will be back at home on Thursday against Norwin. Game time is scheduled for 7:45 PM.

The Upper St. Clair Boys Soccer team hosted Canon-McMillan tonight looking to avenge their loss against the Big Macs earlier this season. A strong team effort from start to finish helped lead the Panthers to a 3-0 victory. Ryan Higgs, Jan Sames, and Andrew Popp each scored one goal on the night in the win. The Panthers will be back in action on Thursday when they will host Allderdice. Game time is scheduled for 7:45 pm.

The Upper St. Clair Boys Soccer team honored its Class of 2023 Seniors tonight as they welcomed Baldwin to Panther Stadium for a section matchup. The Panthers made easy work of Baldwin as they took home a 7-0 victory. Tyler Reimer and Andrew Popp each scored two goals, while Ryan Higgs, Joe Donnelly, and Liam Burlovic each notched a goal. The Panthers will be back in action on Thursday when they will travel to Mount Lebanon to take on the Blue Devils. Game time is scheduled for 7:45 PM.

The Panthers made easy work of Hempfield with a 10-0 victory as they bounced back from two straight losses. Liam Burlovic returned from an injury suffered in team camp this year and scored four goals in his return. The Upper St. Clair Boys Soccer team traveled to take on Allderdice yesterday in a section matchup. The first half did not go the Panthers way as they trailed 1-0 after 40 minutes, but three goals in the second half led the team to a 3-1 win. Ryan Higgs netted two goals on the night while Drew Popp tallied the other. The win moves the Panthers to 5-1-1 (4-1) on the season and they will be back in action on Thursday when they will welcome Peters Township to Upper St. Clair Stadium. Game time is scheduled for 7:45.

The Upper St. Clair Boys Soccer team traveled to Canonsburg last night to take on the Big Macs in a section matchup. The Panthers fell 2-1 in Overtime bringing their record to 4-1-1 on the year. Joe Donnelly netted the lone Panther goal on the night. Upper St. Clair will be back in action on Tuesday when they will be on the road again to take on Allderdice.

The Upper St. Clair Boys Soccer team squared off with Mount Lebanon tonight and defeated their rival in dominating fashion. Tyler Reimer and Andrew Popp each scored two goals and Phillip Markovitz notched one of his own to lead the Panthers to their 5-0 victory. The win moves the Panthers winning streak to four games and they will be back in action on Thursday when they will travel to Canon-McMillan to take on the Big Macs. The Upper St. Clair Boys Soccer team traveled to Baldwin last night and came away with a solid 5-2 section victory. Senior Captain Tyler Reimer had a hat trick to lead the Panthers to their victory. Upper St. Clair will be back in action on Tuesday, September 6th where they will host Mount Lebanon. Game time is scheduled for 7:45.
