USC Baseball Falls to North Allegheny in One Run Game

NORTH ALLEGHENY HIGH SCHOOL: 3
The Upper St. Clair Baseball team traveled to North Allegheny last night for a matchup with the Tigers. The Panthers trailed 3-0 after 5 complete innings, but battled back to close the Tiger lead to 3-2 as they scored a run in each of the last two innings. In the end, North Allegheny held on for a 3-2 win over the Panthers. Nick Manko got the start on the mound for the Panthers, throwing 4 innings, as he allowed 3 runs and struck out 4. Thomas Medwig relieved Manko as he threw two scoreless innings, keeping the Tiger offense at a minimum. On the offensive side, Eli Rankin and Aiden Crochier each drove in one run and Rankin also recorded a triple. The Panthers will have a busy week next week as they will play three games, the first will be on Monday when they will host Baldwin. First pitch is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
