Panthers Win: 58.00 - 27.00

The Upper St. Clair Girls Basketball team traveled to the GIANT Center in Hershey tonight as they took on Perkiomen Valley in the PIAA Championship. The Panthers had an off night as they fell 58-27 to the Vikings. Rylee Kalocay led the Panthers in the scoring department with 10 points and Olivia Terlecki followed her with 6 points. The loss concludes a great season for Upper St. Clair and one of the best in school history. The Panthers finish with an overall record of 23-7, as WPIAL Champions, and as PIAA runners-up. Congratulations to all the players, coaches, and staff on a fantastic and historic season.

Terlecki's Big Game Sends USC Girls Basketball to PIAA Championship

Panthers Win: 53 - 49

The Upper St. Clair Girls Basketball team traveled to James Buchanan High School today to take on Garnet Valley in the PIAA Semifinals. The Panthers, who have been starting strong during their playoff run, fell behind by 7 points in the first quarter to find themselves in unfamiliar territory. As the first half progressed, Upper St. Clair battled back and the teams went to the locker rooms at halftime tied at 23. The third quarter was back-and-forth with neither team hanging to a lead before the Panthers outscored the Jaguars by 4 in the final eight minutes to take home a 53-49 win. Olivia Terlecki connected on 5 three pointers as she finished with a team high 19 points and Rylee Kalocay chipped in 13 of her own in the victory. With the win, the Panthers will take on Perkiomen Valley in the PIAA Championship. The two teams met previously this season on December 14th as the Vikings came away with a 63-57 win. The Panthers will look for their revenge with PIAA Gold on the line on Friday at 6:00 pm at the GIANT Center in Hershey.

Panthers Win: 51 - 35

The Upper St. Clair Girls Basketball team traveled to McConnellsburg High School tonight to take on District 1's Haverford High School. The Panthers stretch of strong postseason play continued as they came home with a wire-to-wire, 51-35, victory to advance to the PIAA Semifinals. Meredith Huzjak led Upper St. Clair with 17 points and Rylee Kalocay followed with 14 of her own. The Panthers will be back in action on Friday when they will take on another District 1 school in Garnet Valley. The time and place of the game is still to be determined.

USC Girls Basketball Takes Down Canon-McMillan to Advance to PIAA Quarterfinals

Panthers Win: 46 - 32

The Upper St. Clair Girls Basketball team took on Canon-McMillan for the third time this season tonight with a berth in the PIAA Quarterfinals on the line. The first half was a defensive affair, with only 27 points being scored, as the Panthers clung to a three point lead. In the second half, Upper St. Clair took over, building their lead and finishing with a 46-32 win. Rylee Kalocay scored a game high 20 points and Meredith Huzjak chipped in 10 in the win. With the win the Panthers advance to the PIAA Quarterfinals where they will meet the winner of Downingtown East and Haverford. The game will be played on Friday with the time and place to be determined.

Panthers Win: 65 - 37

The Upper St. Clair Girls Basketball team hosted Manheim Township tonight for their First Round game in the PIAA Tournament. The Panthers continued their strong play as they jumped out to a 20-0 lead and went on to win 65-37. Rylee Kalocay led the way in the scoring department as she tallied 21 points. Meredith Huzjak and Olivia Terlecki also had strong games as Huzjak added 12 points and Terlecki chipped in 9. The Panthers now advance to the Second Round where they will take on the winner of Allderdice and Canon-McMillan. The game will take place on Tuesday with the site and time to be determined.

Panthers Win: 45 - 40

The Upper St. Clair Girls Basketball team traveled to the Petersen Events Center tonight to take on Norwin in the WPIAL Class 6A Championship. The Panthers started hot, leading by as much as 13 points midway through the second quarter and continued to hold a lead for the majority of the game. Norwin fought back in the final eight minutes as they grabbed their first lead of the game with 2:33 remaining. With the Panthers trailing by three, Rylee Kalocay hit a 3-pointer to tie the game and Ryan Prunzik had a steal and score on the next possession to give Upper St. Clair the lead and the Panthers held on for a 45-40 win. Kalocay led all scorers with 13 points and Prunzik followed her with 11. Meredith Huzjak was key in the first half and finished the game with 8 points and Kat Polstyanko, Grace Howell, Claire Rosenberry, and Olivia Terlecki all were contributors in the Panther win. The win gives Upper St. Clair Head Coach Pete Serio his first WPIAL Championship as the Panthers head coach and the team will be back in action Saturday when they will open up the PIAA Tournament by hosting Manheim Township.

USC Girls Basketball Defeats Mount Lebanon to Advance to WPIAL Finals

Panthers Win: 55 - 39

The Upper St. Clair Girls Basketball team traveled to Bethel Park High School tonight to take on Mount Lebanon in the WPIAL Semifinals. The Panthers controlled the game from start to finish as they came away with a convincing 55-39 win. Rylee Kalocay led Upper St. Clair with 19 points and Meredith Huzjak followed her with 12 of her own. The Panthers also received strong contributions from Olivia Terlecki and Kat Polstyanko in the win. The Panthers now advance to the WPIAL Championship game where they will meet #1 seed Norwin. The Panthers and Knights have already played twice this season with each team coming away with a win. The third, and most important, game will take place at the Petersen Events Center on Saturday and is scheduled for a 5:00 pm start.

Panthers Lose: 22.00 - 43.00

The Upper St. Clair Girls Basketball team hosted Pine-Richland tonight in a WPIAL Quarterfinal matchup. The Panther defense was dominant, holding the Rams to 10 points after three quarters of play, en route to a 43-22 win. Rylee Kalocay led the Panther offense as she scored 22 points and Meredith Huzjak added 9 in the win. Upper St. Clair now advances to the WPIAL Semifinals where they will take on a familiar opponent. With Mount Lebanon defeating Seneca Valley in their Quarterfinal game, the Panthers and Blue Devils will square off for the third time this season. The Panthers won the previous two matchups and will look to get another as a WPIAL Championship berth is on the line. The game will take place on Tuesday with the time and place still to be determined.

USC Girls Basketball Finishes Regular Season with Win

Rylee Kalocay scored 27 points and Meredith Huzjak added 12 as the Upper St. Clair Girls Basketball team defeated West Allegheny tonight, 62-46. The win brings the Panthers regular season to a close with an overall record of 16-6. Upper St. Clair will now turn their attention to the WPIAL Playoffs, where they have drawn the #2 seed in Class 6A. The  Panthers first round game will be on Friday, February 21st and they will host Pine-Richland. The start time of the game is still to be determined.

The Upper St. Clair Girls Basketball team hosted Penn-Trafford today in a non-section contest as the team starts its WPIAL Playoff preparation. Rylee Kalocay poured in 26 points and Meredith Huzjak added 15, but the Panthers fell in a close one, 59-57. The loss drops Upper St. Clair’s record to 15-6 and the team will have another non-section game against West Allegheny on Monday. Tip off is scheduled for 7:00 pm.

The Upper St. Clair Girls Basketball team held its Senior Recognition tonight as they squared off with Mount Lebanon and came away with a 65-35 win. All six Panther seniors contributed in the win as Rylee Kalocay led the bunch with 24 points. Meredith Huzjak followed Kalocay with 9 points, Olivia Terlecki added 8, Grace Howell had 7, Claire Rosenberry scored 3, and Peyton McGregor chipped in 2. Ryan Prunzik was also instrumental in the win as she scored 12 points. The Panthers now move to 15-5 (8-2) and will be back in action Saturday when they will host Penn Trafford. Tip off is scheduled for 2:30 pm.

Rylee Kalocay and Meredith Huzjak combined for 45 points tonight as the Upper St. Clair Girls Basketball team defeated Hempfield 66-43. Kalocay led all scorers with 30 points and Huzjak added 15 in the win. The Panthers now move to 14-5 (7-2) and will be back in action on Thursday night when they will host Mount Lebanon. The Upper St. Clair Girls Basketball team traveled to Connellsville last night as they looked to snap their three game losing streak. The Panthers did just that as they cruised to a 67-38 win over the Falcons. Rylee Kalocay led the way with 21 points and Kat Polstyanko chipped in 11 of her own in the win. Upper St. Clair now moves to 13-5 (6-2) and will be back in action on Monday when they will travel to Hempfield. Tip off is scheduled for 7:30 pm.

The Upper St. Clair Girls Basketball team hosted Norwin tonight in a battle of the sections top two teams. The Knights were able to get the better of the Panthers tonight, winning 56-47. Riley Kalocay and Meredith Huzjak led the way offensively for Upper St. Clair scoring 19 and 11 points, respectively. The Panthers now fall to 12-5 (5-2) and will look to bounce back on Thursday when they will travel to Connellsville. Tip off is scheduled for 7:30 pm.

The Upper St. Clair Girls Basketball team traveled to Canon-McMillan tonight for a section matchup. The Panthers were unable to get their offense rolling as they dropped their first section game of the year 45-38. Rylee Kalocay led Upper St. Clair in the scoring department, tallying 19 points in the loss. The Panthers now fall to 12-4 (5-1) and will look to snap their two-game losing skid on Monday when they will host Norwin. Tip off is scheduled for 7:00 pm.

Rylee Kalcoay finished the night with 21 points and Grace Howell added 15 to round out the double-digit scorers. The Upper St. Clair Girls Basketball team participated in the annual Cal U Hoopfest the last two days as they took on Bethel Park yesterday and Franklin Regional today. The Panthers brought back a 2-0 record taking down Bethel Park 72-50 and Franklin Regional 66-45. The wins bring the Panther's overall record to 6-2 and they will be back in action on Thursday when they will travel to Norwin. Tip off is scheduled for 7:30 pm.

The Upper St. Clair Girls Basketball team hosted Canon-McMillan tonight in their section opener. The Panthers used a balanced scoring attack to take down the Big Macs 66-44. Rylee Kalocay led all scorers with 19 points, Ryan Prunzik followed her with 12, Olivia Terlecki added 11, and Meredith Huzjak and Claire Rosenberry each chipped in 8. The Panthers now move to 4-2 (1-0) and will be back in action at the Cal U Holiday Tournament when they will square off with Bethel Park on December 29th.

Panthers Lose: 57 - 63

The Upper St. Clair Girls Basketball team hosted Perkiomen Valley today. The Panthers, who fell behind by 11 points at the half, rallied to cut the Viking lead to 6 points after three and then to 2 points late in the fourth quarter. Perkiomen Valley was then able to nail a three pointer to bring their lead back to 5 and held on for a 63-57 win over the Panthers. Rylee Kalocay led the way for Upper St. Clair, pouring in 29 points, and Meredith Huzjak followed her with 10 of her own. The Panthers will resume section play on Thursday when they will host Canon-McMillan. Tip off is scheduled for 7:00 pm.

The Upper St. Clair Girls Basketball team hosted Seneca Valley tonight for the teams opening game of the 2024-2025 season. The Panthers looked in mid-season form as they took down the Raiders 74-31. Rylee Kalocay led all scorers with 25 points and Meredith Huzjak followed her with 10 of her own. The Panthers will return to the court on Friday when they will travel to Peters Township to take on the Indians. Tip off is scheduled for 6:00 pm.
