Panthers Lose: 41 - 65
The Upper St. Clair Boys Basketball team traveled to Peters Township High School tonight for a matchup with Central Catholic as they looked to reach the WPIAL Championship for the second time in three years. The Panthers weren't able to find their groove offensively early on and the Central Catholic size advantage posed a problem throughout the game. Upper St. Clair fell behind by 11 points after one quarter and Central Catholic seemed to have an answer for every run the Panthers tried to put together. Ultimately, the Vikings pulled away and won 65-41. Nick Sukernek, Christian Wieczenski, and Julian Dahlem each scored nine points to pace the Panther offense. Upper St. Clair's season is not over yet though as the team will still have an opportunity to qualify for the PIAA Playoffs. The Panthers will host Mount Lebanon on Thursday with the winner moving on to the state playoffs. Tip off is scheduled for 8:00 PM.

Panthers Win: 45 - 43
The Upper St. Clair Boys Basketball team hosted Seneca Valley tonight in a WPIAL Class 6A Quarterfinal matchup. The start of the game could not have gone any better for the Panthers as they led 17-4 after the first quarter. The Panthers would continue to build on that lead as they led by 17 at halftime and 18 at the end of the third. Seneca Valley would mount a furious fourth quarter comeback as they held the Panthers to only four points in the quarter, all coming by way of the free throw line, and cut the Upper St. Clair lead all the way to two. The Panthers were able to spoil the Raiders comeback bid as they held on for a 45-43 win. Julian Dahlem was the only Panther to reach double figures on the night as he finished with 14 points. Upper St. Clair will now take on Central Catholic on Tuesday with a WPIAL Championship berth on the line. The site and time of the game is still to be determined.

Panthers Win: 66 - 64
The Upper St. Clair Basketball team hosted Baldwin tonight knowing that a win would give the program their first outright section title since the 2013-14 season. The first half was not going according to plan as Baldwin led by 10 after the first quarter and eight going into halftime. The Panthers would start to chip away in the second half thanks to 13 third quarter points by Devin Hall and they only trailed Baldwin by five going into the fourth. During the fourth quarter Cody Marn kept the Panther comeback alive as he was a key factor on both ends of the court. Marn would go on to score six fourth quarter points, while grabbing key rebounds and blocking shots on the defensive side. 32 minutes was not enough time declare a winner tonight as the teams would enter overtime tied at 59. The Panthers took control in OT to complete their comeback and pulled out the 66-64 win. Hall would finish the game as the top Panther scorer as he netted 22 points, while Nick Sukernek finished with 15, Matt Gaither finished with 14, and Marn would chip in eight. The Panthers finish the regular season with a 14-8 (9-1) record and will await to see their playoff opponent when the brackets are released on Monday.

Panthers Win: 37 - 36
The Upper St. Clair Boys Basketball team hosted Mount Lebanon tonight as they looked to grab a share of the section lead with a win. The opening quarter did not go as planned for the Panthers as Mount Lebanon hopped out to a 10-1 lead, however a 11-0 run by Upper St. Clair in the second quarter got them back in the game and the Panthers were able to take a 16-14 lead into halftime. A back-and-forth second half ensued and just like the first meeting between these two teams this year, the game came down to the wire. Devin Hall would make a layup and convert his free throw after getting fouled with 17 seconds remaining to give the Panthers a one point lead. Upper St. Clair was able to hold off Mount Lebanon on their final possession and took home a 37-36 victory. Hall was the only player on either team to reach the double figure scoring mark as he led the way with 14. The victory moves Upper St. Clair to 12-8 (7-1) on the year and puts them tied with Mount Lebanon at the top of the section with two games remaining. The first of those two will come on Tuesday when the Panthers will travel to Canon-McMillan. Tip off is scheduled for 7:30 PM.
